What is remote proctoring?

For the Food Protection Manager exam, the exam must be supervised by a proctor. A proctor is an approved, neutral person who ensures the integrity of the environment, security of the exam, and confirms the identity of the person taking the exam.

Remote proctoring requires staff to use a laptop with a webcam and a microphone to communicate with the proctor. It will be like a zoom call.

To use online proctoring, you will need:

• A laptop or desktop computer with a microphone and webcam (integrated or external) 
• A current, government-issued photo ID 
• A private room to take the exam in. This could be a room in your house, office, or public space so long as people will not be walking in and out.
